Khaki BDUs also known as Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) has been the standard combat uniform for the armed forces of the United States military since the 1980s. Since it's introduction BDUs have been designed in various solid colors and camouflage colors, and have been adopted as the uniforms of various public safety organizations. These uniforms are called battle dress uniforms because they are intended for use during "battles", as opposed to "garrison" dress uniforms worn at parades and functions. Khaki BDU pants are usually designed with ankle drawstring, button fly and reinforced seat and knees and they generally have six pockets in total. The khaki variant of the BDU is exactly the same design as all other BDU clothing except the color is khaki. Khaki BDUs are usually made of polyester/cotton twill, cotton/polyester twill, and rip stop just to name a few. Rip-Stop is very resistant against tearing and ripping which gives it a favorable weight to strength ratio and prevents smaller tears and rips to spread further in the fabric. Khaki BDU are perfect for security guards, hunting, fishing, construction and other tactical squads.
